“Working with Paverpol”
Paverpol is a textile hardener. Paverpol offers you endless possibilities to shape your creativity.
Use
Dip a piece of textile in the Paverpol. Wrap this around a sturdy frame or wire figure and let it dry. Paverpol dries quickly. Optionally, you can use a hair dryer to speed up the drying process. When it is dried up, you have a beautiful decoration or statue. This is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Of course you can also work with it on a canvas. The choice is yours!
Natural materials
Paverpol adheres to all natural materials. You can use everything, such as wool, cotton, wood, leather, paper, silk, self-hardening clay, styrofoam, dried flowers, wood, plaster and pottery. It makes these materials totally stiff.
Unique properties
Paverpol hardens without additives. We recommend that outside objects are allowed to harden thoroughly indoors first. (at least 2 weeks) Then you can paint them and place them outside. The materials that you harden with Paverpol can be placed in your garden all year round, regardless of precipitation or temperature. We do advise to apply two layers of Josefine varnish. In this way you prevent your artwork from turning white in high humidity. Please note that Paverpol in liquid form should not be frozen. After use, you can simply wash your hands and tools with warm water. Natural materials soaked in Paverpol are fire-retardant.
Various colors and sizes
Paverpol is available in the colors transparent, black, bronze, light peach and lead color in 500 grams, 1000 grams and 5750 grams of pots and buckets. Paverpol transparent and bronze is also available in a 250 ml bottle with droplet. This is especially for fine work, such as the bonding of beads for necklaces and earrings, which must be glued to be waterproof. The bottles are also ideal for scrapbooking and glueing doll clothes.
To combine
Use Paverpol also in combination with other Paverpol products, such as Paverplast, Pavercolor, Wrappers, Stockinette, Relief Decoration, Art Stone, Pavercotton, Josefine varnish, Paversand or Paverscrub.
Paverpol dries completely transparent. Colored textiles, possibly with a pattern, retain their original brightness. By adding colored powder (Pavercolor) to Paverpol, Paverpol can be coloured without slowing down the drying time. It is also possible to combine Paverpol with paper, silk, chamois leather, self-hardening clay, polystyrene foam, dried flowers, wood, plaster, pottery, etc.
Paverpol adheres to almost all materials, except plastic. The finished projects are rock-hard.
Paverpol Transparent: A sculpture made with Paverpol Transparent and that you want to place outside needs to be either completely painted with weather-resistant paint or varnished with Josefine’s Varnish. Do this after two weeks of curing (or longer in high-humid areas).
Sculptures made with pre-coloured Paverpol like Bronze, Black or Grey can be placed outside after two weeks of curing. Varnish is not necessary. It is important that you have wrapped the sculptures in a way that it is not possible that water can get in between the fabric and the frame. This will prevent it from molding.
Protect Paverpol in its liquid form from frost, once it is hardened however Paverpol can withstand extreme frost. Tools and hands can simply be washed in warm water.
Paverpol is a polymer, it means that natural materials that have been hardened with it might go soft when exposed to very warm surroundings, for that reason make sure every piece of material that is sculpted ‘against gravity’ is supported with either wire, wood, etc., to prevent it from sagging.
