Working with Paverplast

By mixing Paverpol with Paverplast, you make a plaster with which you can create a fully water-tight, weather-durable layer on your sculptures of polystyrene, plaster and self-hardening clay.

Use

Mix Paverplast powder with Paverpol (100 grams Paverplast on 500 gram Paverpol) into a thick plaster (such as peanut butter). So now you do not work with Paverpol, in which you drench your textiles but with a homemade plaster that you apply on your surface, for example with a spatula. Apply a layer of 1 to 2 mm. You can apply various layers after drying to make the whole statue extra strong. If you want a smooth surface, dip your finger in water and wipe gently over the still wet surface. Varnishing is not necessary.

Materials

A Paverplast plaster is suitable to make your pieces permanently water-resistant such as bird drinkers, fountains and ponds. With this plaster you also give statues of styrofoam (isomo), gypsum, self-hardening clay, ecoshape, papier maché a completely waterproof coating.

Various sizes

Paverplast is available in pots of 100 and 400 grams. To combine Paverplast mixed with Paverpol can be colored with Pavercolor. The Paverpol with Paverplast is strong enough to be put outside. If you have painted it, we advise you to apply a layer of Josefine varnish to protect the colors from the sun’s UV rays. The colours remain bright.

Storage

The Paverplast plaster dries in the air. You can store the plaster in an airtight lockable container. If the Paverplast plaster becomes too tough, add a little Paverpol. Do not use water to dilute. Paverplast paste is also an excellent outer-resistant adhesive.
